Harry Edward Styles - also called Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions in The One Direction band. His parents were Des Styles and Anne Cox. The couple were born on the 1st day of February 1994, in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school, where together with three students, he formed his musical group, White Eskimo. White Eskimo won 2009's Battle of Bands thanks to the impressive presentation they made. Although he has always had an interest in music, despite his passion for it, he wished to become a lawyer and an physiotherapist. In order to support the family he spent an hour or so working in a bakery. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in 2010 and performed Is not She Lovely, the Stevie Wonder song. He was chosen. His group was compelled to break up due to the fact that they were selected. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles that he be part of a new band, One Direction. The other group members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. The band performed songs like My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the potential winners for the prize. They were in third position behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle which took home the prize. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell did pay $2 million to One Direction for them to agree to a contract with Syco.
