Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She co-founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, and the owner of the independent liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. She emigrated from Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. The first graduate from outside the UK to be elected the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. As a conservative syndicated blogger, after graduating she went on to become a voice of the Huffington Post. Her fame has led to the attraction of many prominent contributors to share their thoughts on news as well as politics and culture. Arianna's fame started in 2003, after she became an independent candidate for the California recall vote to replace the then governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna also spearheaded a Detroit campaign to encourage fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes named her as one of the "most powerful female" within the field of media and ranked her 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of the 100 most important media figures in 2009. In 2011, AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post and made her president of that media company, which also included a number of at the time-current AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos who was a journalist and management consultant. Even though she was close to her father, her connection to her mom shaped the rest of her life. Even in her formative age she showed the qualities of a leader for which she's still known. She moved to England at 16, to pursue her education and was accepted into Girton College Cambridge. When she was in college and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the colleges debating societies, which she later became the first female and foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master in Economics. Her career as a journalist and television host was born after graduation. Her appearance in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also notable. Her first novel was written. books and enlisting his assistance for editing.
