Anne Marie Tiernon's professional career started in 1989 when she joined WMBD 31 Peoria. In 1991, she relocated to Indianapolis and started anchoring for the CBS affiliate WISH-TV the newscast at 5:30pm with Scott Swan. She also reported for WISH-TV eleven pm newscast. Tiernon was a WLWT-TV anchor of newscasts from Cincinnati Ohio for the five, six and eleven o'clock newscasts from 2000-2004. Tiernon is an Emmy award-winning journalist, who has been a reporter on both significant and minor news stories over her career. She won the National Headliner Award in Medical/Science reportage for her medical articles. Tiernon is a Fort Wayne Indiana native and is married to marketing director Terry Tiernon.
