Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, educator, and Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the child of a Briton and a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. Early on Anna appeared in a number of television commercials. Anna moved in Toronto in order to help her acting develop. In the following years, she relocated Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her partner in 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman at the age of 11, after having converted to Judaism. They got weddings in the month of December this year. They then reaffirmed their vows in a Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton, in April 2011.
