Mitra also starred as Major Eden Sinclair in 2008's science action/fantasy film Doomsday. Mitra, who is sometimes mistakenly referred to as Caryn Parkerson in some databases and made her acting debut in Underworld Rise of the Lycans in 2009. In 2009 she portrayed the role of Sonja, the powerful vampire older Viktor. While filming, she became fond of her vampire fangs even refusing to remove the fangs when they were not recognized. "I put those fangs in the very first day. I found it odd that they were in the first place. They stayed in throughout the whole time of shooting, all through my dialogue, and even everything else." She was also featured in three episodes of Stargate Universe.
